For today's Sunday lunch I cooked fish…for the first time ever in my own house. Yes ever. Not a fan of fish but this recipe looked sufficiently flavoursome to disguise the fishiness. It was DEElish.
For dessert we had strawberries & meringue with neapolitan Swedish Glace ice cream.

We had planned to do a barbecue for Sunday's lunch at Joan's house but it was damp and overcast so the only thing outside was the grill. The produce was enjoyed indoors by all though. Seoras did a grand job grilling the burgers, sausages, pork and beef steaks with rub while I handled the chicken wings, baked potatoes and oven stuff. Everyone got properly stuffed and we had fruit smoothie ice lollies of course for dessert.
Maybe next time we'll get sunshine too.

Lovely dinner in Glasgow's West End tonight with Mairianne who's down for the weekend and Flora & Nma. Seoras was unwell so we took plently of food pics for him to drool at afterwards (I know, we are evil). The Bothy was very pleasant, a contemporary Scottish menu with a comfortably uncramped eclectic interior tucked away in Ruthven Lane off Byres Road. Chosen meals consisted of Guinea Fowl, Chicken and Pistachio Terrine, Herring Baked in Oatmeal, Slow Roasted Crispy Pork Belly, Oven Roasted Spring Chicken, Pea & Ham Risotto and a quite unique Irn Bru Sorbet! Thanks for the treat Flora, definitely a place to revisit.
